Hollywood actor Tom Hanks opens New York Film Festival
The New York Film Festival has kicked off with the world premiere of Captain Phillips - a hijacking thriller - starring Tom Hanks directed by British filmmaker Paul Greengrass.

But the focus is still very much on showing New Yorkers the latest work from the great filmmaking names of modern cinema.
