Chris Hadfield sings Space Oddity live on BBC News

The former commander of the International Space Station, Chris Hadfield, has played his cover of David Bowie's Space Oddity on BBC News. The version he made in space, as he stepped down from command of the station, went viral in May 2013.

While in space, Cmdr Hadfield tweeted about his life at the ISS to his one million followers, sharing striking images of the Earth.

He retired in July 2013 and has published a book, An Astronaut's Guide to Life.
