Woman with Tourettes presents Channel 4
A woman with Tourettes syndrome has praised Channel 4 for choosing her to introduce some of the broadcaster's most popular programmes.
Jess Thom, 33, was one of five people with communication difficulties who was selected to work as a continuity announcer as part of C4's Alternative Voices scheme.
She told BBC Radio 5 live's Breakfast: "I think it's really important that difference is celebrated and is visible and this seemed a great way to help that to happen."
