Cast praise George Clooney's directing skills

The cast of The Monuments Men have made a red carpet appearance at the movie's world premiere in New York.

Writer, producer, director and star George Clooney was joined by his on screen colleagues Matt Damon, Bill Murray and Hugh Bonneville, as well as Cate Blanchett, John Goodman and Jean Dujardin at the film's first outing.

It tells the tale of a platoon who rescued artwork from the Nazis at the end of World War II.
