'British authors aren't being squeezed out'

The shortlist of new literary award the Folio Prize - open to English-language writers from all around the world - has been unveiled in London.

Dominated by North American authors, the eight books on the list include poetry, novels and short stories.

Gaby Wood, the Telegraph's head of books and a former Man Booker Prize judge, tells the BBC that the strong showing by US writers doesn't mean that British authors are being squeezed out.
