The Selfish Giant hopes to defy Gravity at the Baftas

The Selfish Giant is a low budget British drama about two boys living on the margins of Bradford.

It has already scooped a number of prizes and will be vying for a Bafta at Sunday's award show, in the best British film category.

But it faces strident competition from the bigger budget movies in that category Gravity, Rush, Philomena, The Long Walk To Freedom and Saving Mr Banks.
