Oscars 2014: Damp start for Hollywood's Academy Awards

Hollywood's biggest names are gathering for the film industry's most glamorous night of the year - the Academy Awards.

Gravity, 12 Years a Slave and American Hustle are tipped to do well, with Cate Blanchette and Matthew McConaughey expected to sweep the acting prizes.

But organisers are having to contend with an unusual problem for California - rain.
