Hugh Jackman 'hijacks' Tony award nominations

Actor Hugh Jackman went on stage to surprise hosts Lucy Liu and Jonathan Groff as they read out the Tony Award nominations.

Groff and Liu announced the major category nominees for the 68th annual Tony Awards, which will be held in New York on 8 June.

British talent was recognised in the nominations, including Sophie Okonedo for her performance in A Raisin In The Sun and Mark Rylance for his roles in the Shakespeare's Globe's all-male Twelfth Night and Richard III.

Only Broadway shows that opened in the 12 months ending on April 24 are eligible.
