Sean Connery BBC play recording rediscovered
A recording of an early TV appearance by Sean Connery, previously thought to have been lost forever, has been unearthed.
Five years before he achieved worldwide fame as James Bond in Dr No, Connery played a past-his-best boxer in Requiem for a Heavyweight.
Director Alvin Rakoff kept the audio recording of the performance, broadcast live on the BBC in 1957, in his attic.
