Is the internet responsible for the decline of teen magazines?

Bliss, the magazine for teenage girls, is closing after 19 years.

Marina Gask, a former editor of Sugar, blamed free online content for the decline of magazines aimed at teenage girls, stating the internet and technology have opened up a "whole world of possibilities" that make them feel slow and tame.

Daisy Buchanan, a former feature writer at Bliss for four years, praised some of the online alternatives, admitting that they "get the tone we wanted to achieve" at the magazine.
