Serkis on chanelling his 'inner Ape'
Andy Serkis talks about what inspires him to create voices for the characters he plays in some of Hollywood's biggest films from Gollum in the Lord of the Rings trilogy, King Kong and his more recent role of Caesar in the Planet of the Apes films.
The characters are computer generated with the help of motion capture, which sees the actor wearing a special suit that has sensors on it to track movement that can later be filled in with CGI to create the characters.
Serkis joined BBC Breakfast to talk about how he creates the voices for the characters.
