Why do men write more letters to newspapers than women?

A recent audit showed that out of 115 letters published in the Financial Times over a three-week period, just three were written by women.

Iain Hollingshead, formerly of the Daily Telegraph, and Yvonne Roberts from the Observer discuss whether this is due to men writing more letters or the papers ignoring women.

First broadcast on BBC Radio 4's Today programme on Thursday 24 July.
