Rona Fairhead: 'Critical time for BBC' as charter debate looms

Rona Fairhead, the preferred candidate to take over from Lord Patten as the new chair of the BBC Trust, has been questioned by MPs on the Culture, Media and Sport Committee over her appointment.

She said that "as we enter this new debate for the new charter, that's a really a critical time for the BBC".
