Happy New Year: Can Shah Rukh Khan top Diwali box office?

One of Bollywood's most expensive films, Happy New Year, is hitting cinemas in time for the Hindu festival Diwali.

The film, starring Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone, tells the story of five men and one woman who attempt to pull off the biggest ever diamond heist - disguised as dancers.

Director Farah Khan is still a rarity in the male-dominated world of Bollywood - particularly for her unashamed focus on 'masala films'.
