Jeremy Clarkson: BBC reaction 'ridiculous', says former Stig

The BBC is expected to drop the rest of the current series of Top Gear after presenter Jeremy Clarkson was suspended amid allegations he punched a producer.

An online petition calling for him to be reinstated has been signed by more than 160,000 people.

Perry McCarthy, who was the original Stig, said the BBC's response was "a complete overreaction".
