South Africa's 'White Zulu' making waves with Maskandi
One of the popular music genres in South Africa is Zulu folk music, known as Maskandi.
Now a young musician David Jenkins, who goes by the name Qadasi, is making waves in the country. He was nominated for Best Traditional Music Album at the South African Music Awards held last weekend.
Nicknamed "White Zulu", Qasadi grew up in KwaZulu-Natal and is a professional musician who sings in the local language.
He spoke to the BBC about his love for the Zulu culture and his passion for Maskandi music.
