Cocker: Bowie was a 'lighthouse' for those that felt different

Jarvis Cocker has described David Bowie as a "lighthouse" for those who felt a bit different.

The former Pulp singer said Bowie "made it ok" for people who wanted to dress differently or wear make-up on the bus.

"I think people feel it very personally, maybe more than with a lot of people who have passed away, because he was very important in how people grew up."
