How Bridlington was turned into Dad's Army's home front
The town of Bridlington is housing the set for the Dad's Army film that premieres in London on Tuesday evening.
The town's cobbled High Street was transformed into wartime Britain with cast members Bill Nighy, Toby Jones, Sir Tom Courtenay and Sir Michael Gambon seen amid more than 300 extras, some of whom were locals.
The film is set during 1944, when World War Two was about to reach its end.
David Sillito was given a tour by Simon Bowles, who was the production designer for the film.
