The British women writing for Beyonce, Rihanna and Madonna

You've almost certainly heard their songs - but you probably don't know their names.

Some of the songwriters behind Britain's best loved tunes will be honoured for their talents at the Ivor Novello Awards on Thursday.

Together they generate more than £500m a year.
