Country folk singer Courtney Marie Andrews on early days as a struggling teenage musician

US singer-songwriter Courtney Marie Andrews released her first album at the age of 16 and, at the age of 26, has just released her self-produced sixth album.

She started out at the age of 16 touring America's west coast and worked as a barmaid to pay for recording sessions.

She has been named by Rolling Stone as one of the "10 country artists that people need to know".
