'Thousands of NHS jobs to be cut' warns nursing union

The Royal College of Nursing has warned that more than 27,000 NHS posts will be lost across the UK as a result of government cuts, mostly among frontline clinical staff.

The Department of Health in England says it has told trusts that efficiency savings must not harm patient care.
