Advice on weight management post pregnancy 'would help'

Many women fail to get proper advice on weight management during and after pregnancy, a UK-wide survey suggests.

A report for the online parenting organisation Netmums and the Royal College of Midwives found time pressure meant many midwives did not discuss healthy eating and concerns about weight.

One new mother, Katie Hide, told the BBC's Dominic Hughes that post pregnancy support would have helped with her weight management.
