Misuse of drug act 'should be reviewed'

The government is being called on to take a new approach to tackling substances sold as "legal highs".

The UK Drug Policy Commission, says outlawing synthetic compounds one-by-one does not work.

It suggests using legislation designed to protect consumers instead.

The government says the misuse of drugs act is the best way to protect the public from illicit drug use.
