Dirty desks 'increase cold and flu'

Bacteria on office keyboards could increase cold and flu amongst staff as the winter months approach.

The office supplies company, Viking, swabbed a number of desks and found bacteria such as Staphylococcus, Bacillus and Micrococcus, indicating a poor level of hygiene, largely resulting from hot desking and workers eating lunch at their desks.

Cleaning expert Aggie MacKenzie, and environmental health expert Dr Lisa Ackerley, discuss how to keep a desk germ-free.
