Research says aspirin could lower the risk of bowel cancer

Scientists say a daily dose of aspirin should be given to people at high risk of bowel cancer.

A study, published in the Lancet, showed a dramatic fall in the number of tumours in "at risk" patients who were taking the drug.

It's thought the treatment could prevent up to 10,000 cases over the next 30 years.

The BBC's Health Correspondent Dominic Hughes reports.
