Andy Burnham: 'Nobody voted for proposed NHS changes'

Labour's Andy Burnham has argued that the government's proposed changes to the NHS are not mandated, since they did not appear on the Conservative Party manifesto.

The shadow health secretary told the BBC's Joanna Gosling that Labour would continue to campaign against the controversial Health and Social Care Bill.

It comes as the deputy prime minister, Nick Clegg, and the Liberal Democrat peer, Lady Williams, wrote to MPs and peers setting out what changes they want to see made to the bill.
