Plea to doctors to call off industrial auction

Ministers and NHS leaders have made last-ditch attempts to persuade doctors to call off strike action.

Medics across the UK are due to boycott non-urgent care on Thursday in a dispute over pensions, as they take action for the first time since 1975.
