Liver disease on the rise in England

Growing numbers of people in England are dying from liver disease caused by heavy drinking and unhealthy eating, the government's chief medical officer has said.

Dame Sally Davies is calling for action to reverse the trend after data showed deaths from chronic liver disease have risen in England while falling elsewhere in Europe.
