'I heard babies being born as I miscarried'

The health watchdog, NICE says women who have a miscarriage, or other complications early in pregnancy, need access to advice and specialist services every day of the week.

New guidelines for the NHS in England and Wales have been published which also include advice to doctors on how to spot life threatening ectopic pregnancies, which develop outside the womb.

Julie Orford has had two miscarriages and described her experience to BBC News.
