IVF pioneer Prof Sir Robert Edwards dies aged 87

The man who pioneered IVF treatment, and brought hope to couples struggling to start a family, has died at the age of 87.

Prof Sir Robert Edwards' ground breaking work led to the birth of Louise Brown in 1978, dubbed the first test tube baby.
