Leaving hospital after a stroke an 'isolated world'

A report from the Stroke Association suggests that stroke survivors are leaving hospital depressed, stressed and unable to cope emotionally with the disabilities they develop as a result of the stroke.

The charity says stroke victims are being abandoned by healthcare teams when they leave hospital because they are not given the tools they need to rebuild their lives.

BBC Radio 5 Live's Breakfast talked to Joe Korner from the Stroke Association and Claire Whitehouse who had a stroke aged 19 and says she experienced an ''isolated world'' after leaving hospital.
