Child heart surgery reform suspended

Plans to stop children's heart surgery at three hospitals in England have been suspended.

An independent review into the proposed closure of the sites, at Leeds, Leicester and at the Royal Brompton in London, has ruled that the original decision was based on "flawed analysis".

The Health Secretary Jeremy Hunt told the Commons the proposals have now been suspended while the issue is re-examined.

Fergus Walsh reports.
