Care Quality Commission unveils new hospital inspection plan

The second phase of the Care Quality Commission's (CQC) new hospital inspection programme has been announced.

Using existing data, the inspection will ask how safe, caring, effective, well-led and responsive to people's needs hospitals are.

CQC Chief Inspector of Hospitals, Professor Sir Mike Richards, said the process would help identify higher risk hospitals.
