How heart scan could identify heart attack risk
Scientists say they may have found a way of identifying if someone is close to having a heart attack.
More than 100,000 people have a heart attack in the UK each year, so developing new ways to prevent them is important to the NHS.
In the study, researchers at the University of Edinburgh used a new way of scanning the heart to spot dangerous damage to arteries.
Dr Marc Dweck, a cardiology specialist who has been involved with the study, explained to BBC Breakfast what the scan shows.
