Elderly demands exceed family help

The number of older people in England needing care at home will soon outstrip the number of family members able to provide it, according to an influential think tank.

The Institute for Public Policy Research report, external claims that as the baby-boomer generation reaches retirement, an increasing number will not have a relative nearby to support them.
