Burnham: Scale of NHS privatisation 'never seen before'

Shadow health secretary Andy Burnham has criticised the pace and scale of what he claims is "forced" privatisation.

Speaking in Manchester, Mr Burnham said NHS privatisation was "entering new territory" and that the people had "never given permission...to put their NHS up for sale".

The government said that its changes allowed doctors to make key decisions on who provides services.
