Stroke blood clot drug in safety review

A group of experts is being appointed by the UK's medicines watchdog to examine the safety of a drug often used to treat stroke patients.

The Medicines and Healthcare Products Regulatory Agency believes the benefits of taking Alteplase outweigh the risks but wants to make sure all the evidence is considered.

Some experts say previous assessments may have been flawed.
