Ebola virus: UK medics test readiness for outbreak

A national exercise has taken place to test how the UK would deal with an outbreak of the Ebola virus.

In the eight-hour event, actors in various parts of the UK simulated symptoms to test the responses of emergency services and the government.

Ebola has killed more than 4,000 people worldwide, and a UN expert has said the world will live with it "forever" unless global action stops the virus.

Passenger screening is to be introduced at key UK airports and rail terminals.
