Pregnancy drug Primodos - were medical records destroyed?
The government is to release information it holds on the drug Primodos, a hormonal pregnancy test which some fear caused birth defects and miscarriages.
The drug was taken by pregnant British women between 1953 and 1975 - other countries stopped using it sooner.
Health Minister George Freeman said he would also set up an independent panel to look at the evidence.
But a group of campaigners has seen a letter which could suggest doctors were advised to destroy medical records from that time.
The BBC's Katie Collins is closely involved in the story - her mother was one of those who took the drug.
