WHO: Ebola still 'running ahead' of efforts to contain it

The head of the World Health Organization (WHO) has told the BBC that the Ebola virus is still "running ahead" of efforts to contain it.

Dr Margaret Chan said the situation had improved in some parts of the worst affected countries, but she warned against complacency, saying the whole world remained at risk.

She also said the WHO, and the international community had failed to react to the crisis quickly enough.

The BBC's global health correspondent Tulip Mazumdar spoke to Dr Chan.
