BBC launches 'care calculator'

With more of us living longer, and council budgets under increasing pressure, the issue of who should pick up the bill for care in old age is never far from the headlines.

Few carers realise how expensive caring for a loved one can be and frequently have to give up work to give round-the-clock care.

The BBC has launched a special online calculator to work out the costs you might face, and how changes in government policies might affect you or your loved ones.
