Three-person babies: Mother 'overwhelmed' by vote

A mother who lost all seven of her children to a genetic disease says she is "overwhelmed" after MPs voted in favour of three-person babies.

The technique would allow the creation of babies with DNA from two women and one man.

It should should help women like Sharon Bernardi, whose children were born with mitochondrial disease, which is passed down only from the mother.

Ms Bernardi told the BBC that critics with ethical and safety concerns "haven't walked in my shoes".
