Smart syringes 'could save millions'

The World Health Organisation says a new generation of so called 'smart syringes,' that break after being used once, could save a million lives a year around the world.

Reusing syringes leads to more than two million people being infected with diseases each year including HIV and hepatitis.

In a major policy announcement the WHO says it wants all countries to be using the new syringes by 2020.

David Shukman reports now from Cambodia where one HIV outbreak has claimed more than 200 victims.
