Child mental health is a national scandal, says Burnham

The government has said a "complete overhaul" of child mental health services is needed after a taskforce found that too many young people were not getting the help they need.

Government ministers have now made a five-year plan to improve child mental health services.

Shadow health secretary Andy Burnham said he welcomed the plans, and that young people were often left in a "terrible situation".
