'Dramatic' rise in diabetes cases

More than three million people in the UK are being treated for diabetes - an increase of nearly 60% in the past 10 years.

The charity Diabetes UK says the figures show the vast majority have type 2 diabetes, which is often linked to obesity.

It has warned that if the increase is not tackled, the NHS will come under huge financial strain.
