'Why am I less worthy than army amputee?'

Charities representing some of the 64,000 amputees in the UK say civilians are being discriminated against.

It comes after NHS England refused to fund three specialist prosthetics which are available for veterans.

Suzanne Thomas is one of those civilians who feels she would benefit from one of those prosthetics. Instead she says she has a very basic leg under the NHS.

She told the BBC's Nikki Fox that she often falls over and struggles to walk up and down stairs.

NHS England says it is reviewing its funding decision would be reviewed in the next few months. It added that veterans are entitled to priority NHS treatment but this was subject to clinical need.
