Early intervention system for university students inspired by father

After the death of his son, James Murray has worked with Bristol University to develop a new system to deal with students who need support.

University of Bristol student Ben Murray, 19, died in May 2018 after taking his life.

Ben had been told by letter he was being "dismissed" or required to leave his course.

Speaking after the inquest in May 2019 his father James Murray had said he believed Ben would still be at Bristol if the new measures introduced as a result of his death had been in place.
