A doctor's guide to male circumcision

The US has one of the highest rates of male circumcision in the developed world.

The majority of newborn baby boys are circumcised. But some are questioning the ethics of the practice, and an increasing number of parents are opting against the operation.

But how is a circumcision actually done?

Dr Zacharia Cherian, chairman of the department of Pediatrics at MedStar Washington Hospital Center, uses a baby doll to demonstrate the procedure in a few key steps.
