America for President: What would you do in the Oval Office?

What would you do if you were the US president?

That's the question posed by Lori Korchek and Mike Bade to thousands of citizens across the US this election year.

They invite people to sit behind a replica of the Oval Office desk and ask non-partisan questions such as: "If you were the president, what would you like to be remembered for?"

"Most of the people want the same things," explains Mr Blade. "Once we are done with the interview, it is hard to even tell if they are Republicans or Democrats."

Their project, America for President, is an art installation and a live performance - and will also be turned into a film. They hope to do it again in four years time before the 2016 election to encourage participation in the democratic process.
