Vandalism in the UK is falling at a quicker rate than almost any other type of crime, according to official figures.

This could be for a variety of reasons - one theory is that stuff is getting harder to vandalise.

In Swindon, council officials fed up with bus shelters being continually smashed up, worked with manufacturers to try out new designs, with remarkable results.

Richard Palusinski, who leads the town's Community Safety Partnership, explains what happened.
